In each battle, the terrain; the map's weather and ground conditions, will create percentage-based stat debuffs on Metal Maidens and also dictate the combat ranges. Debuffs can be nullified through Chassis and Engine attributes specific to each Metal Maiden, thus different Maidens have different terrains that they perform better in compared to others. While only a minor annoyance for a fresh Commander early on, terrain can play a significant part in beating late-game maps.
